The Austin Bolo Build Your Own Bolo experience offers a unique opportunity for guests to create personalized bolo ties with a variety of ornaments, cords, charms and tips to choose from. Our BYO Bolo Bar offers a little something for everyone, from traditional to modern, colorful to subdued, feminine to masculine. We’ll also learn about your group before the event to further tailor offerings.
What do you get to choose?

Cord
This is the slender material that goes around your neck with the two ends hanging down in front. Cord is traditionally made with leather, but can also be in a variety of materials such as fabric, cork, and other leather alternatives.

Ornament
This is the piece that connects the cord at the front, somewhere under your neck / on your chest. The ornament has a clasp on the back which holds the cord together and enables you to style the bolo tie in a variety of ways by wearing the piece higher or lower.

Tips
These are decorative finishes on the two ends of the cord. Tips can be minimalist and modern or intricate and fanciful. Sterling silver tips and handmade custom designs are considered premium.
